Lebanon Lutheran School

Mission Statement
Through a Christ-centered education, Lebanon Lutheran School equips each child to reflect God’s love in lifelong service to Him and others.
Philosophy
Lebanon Lutheran School applies the Gospel of Jesus Christ (or Saving Grace) to all areas of the student’s spiritual, intellectual, social and physical life.
The school is an extension of the home, working in partnership with parents to develop their child’s potential to accept himself/herself, to become more sensitive to human needs, and develop an understanding of those with different values.
To that end, the school has responsibility to equip the children to share (spread) the Christian message of hope and healing to the Lebanon area and beyond, now and in the future.
Worship is a natural and important part of the life of every Christian. Lebanon Lutheran and its supporting congregations provide numerous worship opportunities where students learn of and respond to God’s love for them.

History
Lebanon Lutheran School is a joint ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon (NALC) and St. Peter’s Church of Lebanon (LCMS). Although this partnership officially began in 1986, the school’s rich history dates all the way back to 1843. Over the years, the school has expanded with new buildings to accommodate growth and evolving needs. One constant throughout this time has been the unwavering commitment of both churches to the school, its students, faculty and to the surrounding community. A large portion of the school’s funding is provided by both congregations.
Enrollment is open to all families seeking a Christian education, regardless of church membership. Lebanon Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin.
Our mission is to provide a high-quality, Christian-based education. The curriculum is designed to help students excel by developing their God-given abilities to serve both God and others. With a low student-to-teacher ratio, students are given personalized attention, allowing them to thrive. Many of our students consistently achieve honor roll and high honors recognition.
The school is fully accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) process of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This rigorous accreditation evaluates not only the academic and program quality, but also the spiritual foundation that is integral to our mission as a Lutheran school.
